This is the popular dessert known among locals. And everyone’s favorite this is the creamiest, smoothest, melt in your mouth, an egg and milk based custard capped off with glistering caramelized sugar. I make Leche Flan every time we have special occasion at home because my kids and our visitors love it as their sweet treats. Of course, I believe that many families out there likewise enjoy this delicious and creamy dessert.
Here is the procedure for delicious Leche Flan
- 10 Egg yolks (beaten)
- 2 Whole eggs (beaten)
- 1 Can Condensed Milk
- 1 Can Evaporated Milk
- 1 ½ Cup Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp Vanilla
- 2 tbsp sugar (every llanera)
- 1 tbsp water
In a large bowl, mix the beaten eggs, condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla, sugar and cornstarch together and use a swish to beat the mixture properly.
Caramelized brown sugar and water by placed in a pan in medium heat. When it gets color brown, spread the caramel evenly on a flat table.
Then pour all the mixture ingredients on the llanera and cover the top with aluminum foil.
Steam for about 30-40 minutes until it cook.
