Of course, it is easier to prepare the ingredients and let your loved ones enjoy this healthful and original Asian-styled dish. It does not matter if you are a newbie chef or not, this is definitely a satisfying fish recipe.
Here is the procedure for the Fish Fillet with Tausi (Chinese Black Beans)
- 1 kilo fish fillet (can be a snapper, tuna, milkfish or tilapia)
- 1 small cup of Tausi
- 1 large onion (chopped finely)
- 2 slices of ginger (chopped finely)
- 1 cup of green onion (chopped finely)
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
- ½ cup parsley (chopped/optional)
- 2 tablespoon of cornstarch (dissolve in one cup of water)
- 1 ½ cup of water
- Ground pepper to taste
Marinate the fish fillet using the beaten eggs and put some ground pepper, then set aside for cooking.
Preheat the saucepan in medium heat before putting the oil and then sauté the onion and garlic for 2 minutes. Afterwards, include the tausi and mix properly then let simmer for about `2-3 minutes before adding the 2 cups of water, then bring to boil.
Add the marinated fish fillets into the boiling mixture, invert them gently to allow the taste penetrate the fish fillets. After 3-5 minutes, add the sugar, parsley, dissolved cornstarch and pepper to taste.
Bring to boil for 1 minute and mix gently before serving.
