There are definitely countless of recipes available when cooking our favorite lean beef. Like me, one of my favorite beef dishes is the Original Stir Fried Pepper Steak. Because I and my family love this recipe, I always prepare the best for them to satisfy their gusto. This is the exact reason why I also want to share my personal recipe for people who also love to eat an easy to prepare dish. It does not matter if you have a special occasion or just a simple dinner at home, this is a perfect dish for countless of beef lovers out there.
Here is the procedure for the Original Stir Fried Pepper Steak
- 1 kilo Beef Sirloin (sliced thinly)
- 6 tablespoon of liquid seasoning (preferably Knorr)
- 4 large red and green bell pepper (sliced horizontally)
- ½ cup of Oyster Sauce
- 1 large white onion (chopped finely)
- 3 cups of beef broth
- 3 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of ground ginger
- 3 tablespoon cornstarch (dissolved in 1 cup water)
- 1 teaspoon ground pepper
- Salt to taste
In a mixing bowl, put the beef sirloin, liquid seasoning, ground pepper, oyster sauce and then mix properly. Set aside for about 10-15 minutes and keep inside the fridge or refrigerator.
After 10-15 minutes, heat the saucepan and put the cooking oil, then sauté the onion and bell peppers. Set aside the sautéed onion and bell peppers and then put the marinated beef in the saucepan. Stir fry for at least 10-12 minutes or until tender.
Add the beef broth, ground ginger, ground pepper, oyster sauce and salt to taste, let simmer for 5-7 minutes then add the dissolved cornstarch and sugar. Mix well and let simmer for about 5 minutes until ready to serve.
Transfer the cooked dish in a large platter and serve with boiled rice.
